This page summarizes how and why data is processed when you use InboxPilot AI. It complements the Privacy policy and Data retention page.

Roles

For local-only features, processing happens on your device. When you enable AI and supply a key, you configure a direct relationship with the AI provider; the extension sends requests from your browser to that provider’s API. eRevolutions India does not receive those payloads on its own servers in the public release described here.

Purposes of processing

• Core functionality: Apply your settings, rules, categories, and UI in Gmail and Outlook on the web.
• Optional classification: When enabled, derive suggested labels or priority from list-row subject, sender, preview, and your instruction text.
• Efficiency and UX: Cache recent classification results; record capped local behavior signals to improve relative ordering where implemented.
• Security: Encrypt API key material before storage.

Categories of data

• Configuration: Preferences, rules, categories, instruction presets.
• Credentials: Encrypted API key in sync storage; key derivation material locally.
• Email-derived snippets (AI only): Subject, sender, truncated preview from the visible row—not full MIME bodies by design.
• Derived / technical: Cache entries, anonymized counters, digest aggregates.

Automated decision-making

The extension may suggest categories or priority using AI. These are assistive suggestions; you remain responsible for how you act on mail. No solely automated legal or similarly significant decisions are made on behalf of eRevolutions India through this extension.

Subprocessors and infrastructure

• Google Chrome & Chrome Sync: Hosts the extension runtime and may sync extension data you choose to sync, under Google’s terms.
• AI providers (optional): For example OpenAI or Google Gemini when you add a key and enable features—governed by their policies and regions you select in their dashboards.

This marketing site (inboxpilot-ai.erevolutionsindia.com) may be served over standard web hosting; visiting the site is separate from using the extension and is subject to your browser’s normal connection logging by hosts and CDNs as applicable.

International transfers

AI providers may process data in regions defined in your account with that provider. Local extension storage remains on your device; sync follows Chrome’s infrastructure.

Your choices

• Keep AI disabled—no snippets are sent for classification.
• Change provider or rotate keys at any time.
• Remove the extension and clear extension data to delete local copies.
